The Bob Dylan Encyclopedia
This book by Michael Gray is terrific! It's a must-own type of reference for any Dylan fan. It is made up of hundreds and hundreds of article-length entries covering things like Dylan and the blues, folk music, Tom Petty, Roger McGuinn, The Byrds and Mimi Farina. Wanna see Sara Dylan in a bunny outfit? Here's the place to go! A feature I really liked is the lengthy discussions of each of his albums. In addition, all of Dylan's major producers have entries here. This if facinating reading for any Dylan fan!

This book is everything you say it is and more. I'm impressed with the DEPTH at some of the analysis. We may not all agree with every word here, but much of it is right on!
